Warning about Stormpay by BBB

The Better Business Bureau of Tennessee has apparently received many complaints about Stormpay and as a result has issued an alert about them. To read the article please check on the Leaf Chronicle. They have a short article describing it as well as another link that you can click on to learn more about what the BBB had to say.

This really concerns me. Also, on DadnDaves the front page is a angry note to the owner of Stormpay asking where the money is. What it does state that concerns me is that Stormpay not only has started taking money away from autosurfing sites, it is now taking the money of members of those sites as well. In effect, it is emptying our accounts.

I don't have any money sitting in my Stormpay account, however, it concerns me that such as shady company has access to my bank account information. I know a lot of you are concerned as well. I will just say to keep an eye on your information, make sure nothing is being done without your permission, and stay informed about what is going on.

Stormpay: Information or Rumor?

Not sure what to call all of this "information" now. Their is a lot of rumors running around and so I want to reiterate again that nothing posted here can be taken as truth or fact. It is just the information I have gathered from reading sites, boards, and forums.

So I was looking on 12DailyPros forum which is now open to everyone to read. I member posted a piece by another website's owner about the Stormpay issue. I am not sure what website it is since the person who posted it on the forum did not say. However, here is what I gathered from the post.

According to this website owner Stormpay is still operating and their building is not vacant and did not burn down as many people were thinking. They were told to freeze the accounts of autosurfing and HYIP programs by government agencies. This started when some college students in Utah were promoting 12DailyPro, the dean found out and reported 12DailyPro, and teh government stepped in tracing everything back to Stormpay. They are now looking into autosurfing programs and HYIP programs as possible ponzi and/or pyramid schemes in which no real service or product is being offered.

According to the post, this was reported on ABC (haven't heard about that but if any of you saw this let me know). Anyway, the accounts can remain frozen for up to 180 days while investigations into the different autosurfing and HYIP programs takes place.

I really have no idea what this means for autosurfing and HYIPs. I hope it does not come to the point of such programs being called illegal, but I guess we will have to wait and see.

Stormpay Updates by 12DailyPro

12DailyPro left another letter to members about the ongoing Stormpay situation. Here it is as posted on 12DailyPro's site:

I wanted to take this time to update you on our progress with the StormPay issue and few other items.

I am sure you are all under stably anxious to hear updates on our progress toward recovering our funds. Today, we made significant progress with the attorney who will be representing us in this matter. He has outlined a strategy for attempting to get our funds released by StormPay by whatever means at our disposal. We hope for swift action in the matter and will keep you as informed as things unfold, to the extent that we can without compromising the case.

We will begin issuing a few refunds this evening and will process a batch of refunds daily. The order of the refunds will be: 1) Remaining Egold/EMO 2)Remaining Egold/Money Order, 3)Compounded EMO, 4)EMO. Please note that because we are unsure of how fast we will be able to resolve the StormPay situation, nor what the outcome of our efforts will be, we cannot provide any kind of time frame by which these EMO refunds will be issued. Also, due to StormPay’s random refunds and double payments that they are conducting with our funds and without our input, we are unable to yet give an accurate assessment to you of how we will deal with the StormPay refunds. Our hope is that by the time EMO payouts (currently on Dec. 8 expiration), catch up with where we left off with StormPay withdrawals, (Jan 23 expiration), that we will have some resolution on the StormPay issue and can announce a plan and/or for StormPay refunds.

Ticket System
Tomorrow, we will be revamping the ticket system to meet our current circumstances. In light of what has occurred and the fact that our goal is to be able to refund all pending and active upgrades, we will be closing all account issue related tickets. The new ticket departments will meet our current situation as well as provide support for the new site. There will also be a department for any missing EMO upgrades. Because there is no way for us to verify missing StormPay at this time, these will have to wait until we are able to gain access to our account data there. We strongly urge that you not submit tickets asking about the current situation; we will be posting updates daily and sometimes several times a day regarding progress on these matters. Our support staff has been extremely reduced, so we can have more funds available for refunds and basic operations. So, inundating the tickets system will only slow our ability to respond to the specific ticket issues we deem vital at this time.

We have now made all areas of the forum viewable to all guests, so that all of you can read it. We are unable to registrations at this time, due to concerns about mass spammers who have attacked our forum in the past.

Accoounts Will Not Go Inactive
There have been some concerns by some members who have not upgraded in a while that their accounts will go inactive during this period. Due to current events, will be suspend the inactive status for anyone that would have normally been moved to that status, so as not to interfere with any refund they might receive.

The New Site
Thanks to the hard work of our technical staff, committed to LifeClicks despite all the happenings of the past week, we will be launching the new site by the end of the day tomorrow. You will notice that the 12dp homepage will change at that time, to reflect our current situation. The homepage will have three main links, one for the forum, one for members to login and check their account states and member news, and one to visit our new site.

I wanted to take this time to thank all of you for your thoughts, prayers, and expressions of support regarding the health of my father. He is now in stable condition and we continue to pray that he will not return to any critical state. I am truly blessed to have a family of 12dp members that cares. You make me proud to be in your company.

Stormpay Information

Not much else has been reported since my last post. What I do know is what has been posted on the Stormpay website, so take that for what it is worth. They are saying that they have outside investigators who are looking into websites that are ponzi and pyramid schemes.

If they are talking about the many autosurfing programs whose accounts have been frozen then I can say that these are lies. Their are a lot of lies going around right now and it is hard to know what to believe. However, I do believe that Stormpay has been deceitful and that their reasons for what they have done thus far are less than admirable.

I suggest everyone to get their money out of Stormpay if they still can. As of right now I can sign onto the site. However, I have heard that cheques are bouncing, although I cannot confirm this. Try withdrawing to your bank account. I want everyone to get their money if they can.

Autosurf and Stormpay Troubles

Over the past few days a lot has been happening in the autosurfing world. Stormpay was a prominant payment processor for autosurfing sites. However, in just a few short days they have told sites they can only have Stormpay as their payment processor or stormpay has to be removed. They then started to freeze autosurfing owners accounts, and then began to issue out refunds to its members. However, these refunds are not being revealed to the autosurfing program owners so they do not know who is being issued refunds and who is not.

12DailyPro, a favorite among autosurfers, has decided to fight back though. In an email sent to all of their members they are seeking legal action against Stormpay and the illegal handling of their funds. Members have began sending in donations to 12DailyPro for its legal battle. Here is the email that they sent out today (2/5/06):

1. StormPay Action
PlanWe will be meet with our attornies tomorrow regarding the unlawful holding of our funds by StormPay. Our intentions are to get the attorney his retainer tomorrow. Members have very generously donated approximately 34% of the needed retainer. We will pull some funds from our operational budget to pool together so the attornies can move forward. Any additional donations to help offset the costs are still welcome. We have also received notice that a former state senator and attorney is willing to help us in our fight. In the meantime, StormPay continues to tell more lies about the reason our accounts were suspended. However, rest assured we have damning documentation that will soon expose them for exactly who they are. We will post another update tomorrow on the progress of our legal efforts. Note, as of yet, we have yet to be contacted by any of the neublous 'investigators' they mention.

2. Additional Representation

We have also had to aquire a different attorney to help manage damage control regarding the libelous accusations StormPay has made against us and our business model.

3. Refunds

Will BeginWe will begin issuing refunds tomorrow as we are able. We will begin with the members who chose to have their Egold upgrade withdrawals paid to EMO. Please note that becuase of the holding of a large portion of our funds, the speed of the payment schedule will be very slow, but we do the best we can.

4. The Convention

Will Go OnDue to the overwhelming support of our members and our confidence that we will prevail as a company, we have decided to go forward with the GPT Convention. We hope it will be a time for all of us to come together and strategize for how we can emerge victorious from these recent events with a new dedication toward changing and strengthening this industry.

5. New Site Back On

Due in large part to urgings from many forum members, we will be going forward with the launching of the new site. It will get everyone focused on the future of LifeClicks as well as provide a new revenue stream that will help us speed up the refund process. In this site you will see the exciting future of LifeClicks.

The planning of the new site and the knowledge that the convention will go on, along with the amazing support we have received from members and staff renewed my spirit in a much needed way earlier today.

But I have just received some news that has changed that spirit. I have just learned that my father, who recently suffered several strokes, may not make it through the night. I have been a regular fixture on the forum in the past couple of days answering as many questions as I can from members. But in light of this recent development, I will not be on the forum this evening. I ask that all of you keep my father and my family in your thoughts and prayers.

I anticipate the next few days will be very challenging for me on a personal level, but I want you all to know that I remain dedicated to you all and will continue to press on in the best way I know how.
